Payroll Tracker

The issue of scheduling and tracking labour as an employer has been an issue for as long as businesses have had employees. There are some applications partially solving this issue however majority of them are strictly for Windows computers. There is a very slim selection of applications available on the Google Play Store only allowing you to manually enter shifts, however none of them create a network between the employer and the employee.

Payroll Tracker is an idea that would benefit both employers and employees. It adds a network between employer and employee simplify everyone’s work life. There are 2 sides to the application.

Employer

The employer side offers you the ability to schedule your employees shifts through the app and those shifts would sync to the employee’s account. Employers would be able to add and delete employees from a company as well as adjust how much a given employee makes.

Once you have successfully created an employer account, or if you are an existing employer, you will be taken to the schedule screen for employers. It differs slightly from the employee screen. Key differences are no calendar at the top and you also have an addition button near the bottom. Tapping the button gives you 2 options, either add a shift to an existing employee or to add an employee. Tapping on any of your existing employees will bring you to their profile page where you can further navigate to see their shifts.

Employee

The employee side will sync all shifts added from an employer and populate into the calendar. Once the shifts are added it will calculate such things as the number of hours you are scheduled, how much you are expected to make and the number of hours of breaks you will be taking.

Once you have successfully created an employee account, or if you are an existing employee, you will be taken to the schedule screen for employees. It differs slightly from the employer screen. Key differences are there is a calendar at the top and you do have an addition button near the bottom. Tapping the calendar with the blips will act the same as tapping a shift within your shift list. Tapping on either the shift or calendar will bring you information about the shift including amount earned, breaks taken and hours worked.

Common Ground

The app has some common ground areas where portions of it are either similar or the same. One such section is the shift details section that will display all information about a specific shift previously scheduled or future scheduled.

The shift details page will bring you relevant information about your shift including amount earned, breaks taken and hours worked. Tapping on the hours worked button will show you how many hours you have worked. Tapping on the break button will show you how many breaks you have taken.
